Heather Martin is a London based photographer who is originally from Canada. Her passion for photography started in her mid-teens and flourished when she studied journalism in Canada. Heather is mostly a self-taught photographer.

Through her studies, she developed her photojournalism skills on a community newspaper the journalism school published. She also joined the university's dark room and entered a handful of competitions organised by the dark room.

Since arriving in London, Heather has developed her skills and interest in architectural, landscape/scenic and artistic photography. Her experience includes both film and digital photography, SLR/35mm cameras, medium format and large format. She is a contributor to Alamy Photo Library and member of London Independent Photography.

What Heather tries to capture in her photographs is a particular mood or story, or taking what is often overlooked as ordinary and show it in a different light.
